About Us

About Us

We’re Emma (left) and Charlotte (right). We’ve been running our training and coaching company (Acacia) since 2016, working in partnership with Charities and Housing Associations to deliver inspiring leadership and wellbeing programmes.

We’re proud to have supported the Guide Dogs Wellbeing Buddies programme – Make a Difference Awards, Voter’s Winner, Champions Network 2023.

We hope you choose to join us at our Castle Retreat in Cumbria and look forward to welcoming you to a weekend of self-discovery and relaxation.

It is our mission to create the right environment for you to discover and embrace your very own adventure.

Our Vision

We are different, some would say a little quirky, others may say authentic. We bring our unique selves to everything we do, and we pride ourselves in creating a safe space where you can celebrate your unique selves.

Running Wellbeing retreats that go beyond Yoga and kale to create lasting change, has been our dream for the past four years.

We’ve taken 50 years’ combined experience of supporting people to conquer their challenges and achieve their goals, and are excited to share this with you in the birth of Castle Retreats.

We found our story, let us help you to find yours.

Meet the Team

Emma is a Wellbeing and Physical Intelligence Coach, who gets a kick out of cleaning and creating beautiful homes.

She’s also an experienced Coach and Facilitator, who uses this experience alongside the latest insights from Neuroscience (how the brain works) and Physical Intelligence (how the body works) to help you unlock your creative problem-solving skills and reach your potential.

When she needs headspace, Emma likes to step outside, take in the view and spring clean the Duck house… we’re not sure the ducks are so amused!

Charlotte collects certificates and is not so keen on cleaning!

After experiencing a significant period of poor mental health in her early 20’s, Charlotte’s personal development journey has focused around mental health and wellbeing, discovering how the mind and body influence each other and how we can harness this knowledge for our benefit. She also happens to be a Cancer ‘Survivor’ – although she would say that this is all down to the amazing team at Mount Vernon Hospital.

She is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Licensed Master Practitioner, Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, Certified Physical Intelligence Coach, and has a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy.

You can read more about Charlotte’s recovery story here at the Mission Remission website.
